Bundle 1
This bundle includes the four modules displayed below. The cost of this bundle is $25. Once registered, the user will be provided a login to access the modules and will have access for 30 days.
Module 1: Charter of Rights for People with Dementia
This course will provide you with a basic foundation of the Canadian Charter of Rights for People with Dementia. The training will include information about human rights, key terminology, and a case study.
Module 2: Person-Centred Care
This course will provide you with a basic foundation of Person-Centred Care and its importance in all aspects of care. The training will include some background information, key elements for sustainable care practice, and a case study.
Module 3: Understanding Behaviour
This course will provide you with a basic foundation of some behaviours associated with dementia. This training will include some background information on seven common responsive behaviours, their causes, and some case studies.
Module 4: ABC Problem Solving
Building on Module 3: Understanding Behaviour, this course will provide you with a basic foundation of the ABC Problem Solving method as it relates to responsive behaviour. This training will include an overview of problem-solving and how to apply this method. In addition, you will explore the do’s and don’ts for seven common responsive behaviour scenarios.

Module 5: Meaningful Engagement
Meaningful engagement with people living with dementia is core to living the best possible life. This module will inspire you, through the voices of those living with dementia, to develop meaningful relationships.
Module 6: Quality of Life & Dementia
Health care providers play a role in influencing the quality of life of people living with dementia, care partners and health care providers. This module will help you to better understand the quality of life and the power of decision-making for people living with dementia. Additionally, the module will use case studies to help you apply the concepts learned in this module.
Module 7: The Importance of a Safe Dementia Environment
This module will provide you with a basic foundation for creating a dementia safe environment. The training includes information on both indoor and outdoor safety as well as cold and hot weather considerations and how to address them. It includes two case studies that allow you to apply your knowledge.
Module 8: Ambiguous Loss & Grief
This module will provide information on grief, ambiguous loss and ways to support people living with dementia, health care providers and care partners who are grieving. Additionally, discover how to manage grief.
Bundle 3
This bundle includes the four modules displayed below. The cost of this bundle is $25. Once registered, the user will be provided a login to access the modules and will have access for 30 days.
Module 9: Dementia and Memory Loss
This module will provide information and distinctions between Alzheimer’s disease and various other types of dementia. The module will explore a description of each of these types, their symptoms and progression, and as a case study to check your knowledge.
Module 10: Strategies for Excellent Care
This module will provide you with information on personal care for people living with dementia. The training will include some general information on how dementia affects personal care, personal care considerations, strategies for care activities and a case study.
Module 11: Healthy Living with Dementia
This module will provide you with information on general brain health and modifiable and non-modifiable risk factors for developing dementia. It also includes strategies to reduce risk factors associated with dementia, suggested memory tips and tricks for people living with dementia, and a case study.
Module 12: Positive Engagement with Family Members
This module will provide you with information on positive engagement with family members, core concepts of the person-centred philosophy, and application within a care home. This module also includes strategies to improve the engagement of people living with dementia and a case study.

Module 13: Communication Strategies and Dementia
This module will provide information about communication and helpful strategies for communicating with people living with dementia. Additionally, it includes two learning activities and a case study.
Module 14: Pain Management and Dementia
This module will provide information about pain and its affect on people living with dementia, the importance of looking for nonverbal signs of pain, pain assessment tools, and pain management. Additionally, this module includes a case study based on real-life situations.
Module 15: End-of-Life Care
This module will help health care providers supporting families of people living with dementia in making difficult decisions and providing a comfortable experience in preparing for end-of-life. Additionally, this module includes a case study based on real-life situations.
Module 16: Person-Centred Wellness
This module will provide lifestyle tips in nutrition, physical activity and sleep to optimize well-being, as well as examine your knowledge with a case study.

Module 17: Wandering
The management of dementia related behaviours, such as wandering, can be overwhelming and worrisome for care partners, families and persons living with dementia. This module will help you better understand wandering, how to minimize the risk, and strategies should wandering occur.
Module 18: The Importance of Language and Dementia
This module will help introduce ways to use person-centred language when supporting people living with dementia.
Module 19: The Importance of Activities and Dementia
Activities play a crucial role in the well-being of people living with dementia. Within this module we will focus on the benefits of activities and how to maximize the strengths of those living with dementia through positive engagement and participation.
Module 20: Progression of Dementia
This module will provide information on the progression of dementia and the various stages. The module will explore the differences between the four stages, as well as a case study to test your knowledge.

Module 21: Living with Dementia in the Care Setting
People living with dementia have the right to enjoy the highest quality of life and quality of care. In ensuring the health and well-being of people living with dementia, it is important to continuously assess and take steps to improve their health from a holistic perspective. This module will provide insight into six aspects of wellness: physical, environmental, emotional, intellectual, social, and spiritual.
Module 22: Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion for Those Living with Dementia
Every person living with dementia has their own unique journey based on their history and life experiences. It is important to gain an understanding of the person being cared for and maintain respect and inclusion. This module will provide you with insight and knowledge on equality, diversity, and inclusion for people living with dementia.
Module 23: Dementia and Personal Care Strategies
Everyone has the right to look and feel good. We all have our own personal preferences of how we do our hair, dress, and practice good personal hygiene. People living with dementia undergo changes after their diagnosis which impacts their personal care routine and habits. This module will provide strategies for health care providers to adapt personal care routines as dementia progresses.
Module 24: Caring for Someone with Dementia Strategies
Throughout the dementia journey, the person you are caring for may experience changes in their eating, sleeping, toileting, and oral care habits. These aspects of self-care are important to help the individual feel good and to maintain a healthy lifestyle. This module will introduce you to the changes that occur to self-care and offer strategies to help you provide person-centred care to a person living with dementia.
